We’re currently a small team passionate about changing the world of fintech and reimagining what’s possible.

Our founding team spent the last few years building, designing, and scaling products at Airbnb to over 5M+ hosts around the world. Our past experiences also include places like Google, Microsoft Research, Faraday Future, Nike, etc.

We’re a remote-friendly team distributed between NYC, SF and Toronto. For those looking to work in person, we offer a beautiful office space in New York right next to Grand Central Station and we’re working on plans for SF.

👋 What we're looking for

As one of the first hires at Roi, you'll be in charge of your area of the business, overseeing all necessary decisions from execution and results. We want someone who doesn’t just execute on tasks assigned to their skillset, but ideates and innovates with us on all areas of the product.

We’re looking for a rockstar engineer who is excited about shaping an early product. You will be working in a fast-paced environment in which you will work on all stages of product development: conception, backend system design, implementation, polish, maintenance. You’ll be collaborating with teammates who are also incredibly passionate about building high-quality, design-intuitive, and data-driven products.

🙋‍What you’ll do

• As part of our team, you’ll move fast. Building solid user experiences, wiring up real-time interactions, and pushing out bug-fixes are all “part of the job”.

• We have needs across the entire business so you can tackle problems in product development, ML, smart contract design, and more.

• Writing clean and efficient code that helps not only you -- but the entire team -- deliver real value fast.

• You’ll contribute to many areas. You’ll not only work with product, design, and engineering, you’ll also contribute to them for all our customer experiences.

• You’ll shape product strategy. You’ll get to use your own product, talk to customers who use it, and have a direct impact on how our company creates and produces experiences.

• You’ll be an owner. You’ll work together with smart and ego-free people with the responsibility and freedom to execute. We’ll give you the space and support to excel.

🛠 Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years experience.

• Experience with robust product development for either backend, mobile, or web.

• Knowing how to integrate with APIs and backend services as well as design them.

• You work with autonomy - you take ownership and are intrinsically motivated. Balancing managerial and individual contributor roles.

• Can scale, hire, and grow a team.

✨Bonus Points

• Experience working with Flutter (Mobile), Google Cloud Platform, indexing data, or web3 (smart contract interactions).

• Fin-tech or finance experience especially with KYC + MTL.

• Understanding of the basic mechanics of blockchain applications.

• Experience with investing either personally or professionally.

• Flexibility to work on and pick up necessary skills for areas of the product from ML to backend to mobile.
